My two brothers, and I fished below Medicine Creek Reservoir in the
spillway in the afternoon. I caught a Master angler flathead catfish
at 44 inches. We also caught smaller flathead catfish about 10
pounds, white bass up to 15 inches, freshwater drum up to 18 inches,
a few walleyes, and a northern pike. We caught these fish using a
Reelbait Flasher Jig with a Berkley Gulp! Minnow Grub, medium diving
crankbaits, lipless crankbaits, and spoons.

June 24-28
I
guided on Red Willow Reservoir, and one of my clients caught two
Master Angler fish including a 28-inch wiper and a 36.50-inch
northern pike. My clients and I also caught smaller northern pike
between 24 and 34 inches, wipers between 14 and 23 inches, white
bass up to 13 inches, walleyes up to 20 inches, a few crappies up to
13 inches, and a few largemouth and smallmouth bass. We caught these
fish around main lake points, underwater humps, edges of deep weed
beds, and willow trees, flats next to creek channels, mouths of deep
coves, and next to the dam areas in depths of 25 feet or less. They
were caught on Carolina Rigs using shiners, Lytle's Secret Tail
Spinners, swimbaits, topwater plugs, and spoons. The surface water
temperature is in the upper 70s.

June 17-23
I guided on Red Willow Reservoir, and my clients caught three Master
Angler fish including two northern pike at 10 and 11.75 lbs, and a
15.25-inch crappie. My clients and I also caught wipers between 13
and 23 inches, white bass up to 14 inches, walleyes up to 22 inches,
northern pike between 24 and 35 inches, a few crappies between 10
and 14 inches, a few freshwater drum, and a largemouth bass at about
15 inches. We caught these fish on Lytle's Secret Tail Spinners,
Reelbait Flasher Jigs with a Berkley Gulp! Minnow and Minnow Grub,
swimbaits, topwater plugs, jigging spoons, and Carolina Rigs using
shiners and Berkley Gulp minnows and minnow grubs. The fish were
caught around main lake points, flats next to deep water, underwater
humps, edges of creek channels, mouths of coves, and next to the dam
areas in depths of 28 feet or less. The surface water temperature is
in the mid 70s.

June 14-15
My brother Tim, and I fished below Medicine Creek Reservoir in the
spillway in the afternoon. We caught wipers up to 24 inches, three
nice walleye at 26.50, 24, and 22 inches, plus smaller walleyes
between 14 and 18 inches, white bass up to 15 inches, northern pike
between 24 and 28 inches, freshwater drum up to 20 inches, a few
crappies up to 13 inches, and largemouth bass up to 15 inches. We
caught these fish on diving and lipless crankbaits.
June 9-12
I guided on Red Willow Reservoir, and my clients caught two Master
Angler fish including a 26-inch wiper and a 24-inch freshwater drum.
My clients and I also caught smaller wipers between 14 and 23
inches, white bass up to 13 inches, walleyes between 14 and 23.50
inches, northern pike between 18 and 35 inches, and a few largemouth
bass and crappies. We caught these fish around main lake points,
underwater humps, flats next to deep water, edges of creek channels,
mouths of coves, and near dam areas in depth of 30 feet or less.
They were caught on Lytle's Secret Tail Spinners, Reelbait Flasher
Jigs with a Berkley Gulp! Minnow and Minnow Grub, swimbaits,
topwater plugs, and Carolina Rigs using shiners and Berkley Gulp!.
The surface water temperature is in the 70s.

June 3-7
I guided on Red Willow Reservoir all five days. My clients and I
caught two Master Angler northern pike at 10.75 and 10.25 pounds. We
also caught good number of smaller northern pike between 24 and 34
inches, wipers up to 23.50 inches, white bass up to 13 inches,
walleyes between 14 and 24 inches, crappies between 10 and 13
inches, a few largemouth bass up to 18 inches, and a few smallmouth
bass. We caught these fish on a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner,
swimbaits, Reelbait Flasher Jigs with Berkley Gulp! Minnow and
Minnow Grub, and a Carolina Rig using shiners. They were caught
around main lake points, underwater humps, flats next to deep water,
edges of the creeks channel, coves, and along the dam areas. The
surface water temperature was in the upper 60s earlier in the week
and in the low 70s in the afternoon the last few days.

June 2
My brother Rod, his son, and I fished below Medicine Creek Reservoir
in the spillway. We caught good numbers of wipers up to 23 inches,
white bass up to 15 inches, walleye up to 18 inches, plus a few
northern pike and largemouth bass. These fish were caught on a 3/4-
and 1-oz. Lytle's Secret Tail Spinners and a Reelbait Flasher Jig
with a 4- and 5-inch swimbait.
May 28 - June1
I guided on Red Willow Reservoir all five days. My clients and I
caught good numbers of wipers between 14 and 23.75 inches, walleyes
up to 24 inches, northern pike up to 33 inches, white bass up to 13
inches, a few crappies between 11 and 13 inches, largemouth bass up
to 18 inches, and smallmouth bass between 10 and 16 inches. We
caught these fish on a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinners, Reelbait
Flasher jigs with Berkley Gulp! Minnow, suspending jerkbaits,
swimbaits, topwater plugs, lipless crankbaits, shallow running
crankbaits, and a Carolina rig using shiners. These fish were caught
around main lake points, underwater humps, edges of creek channels,
flats next to deep water, back in coves, edges of flooded willow
trees, and along the dam areas. The surface water temperature is in
the mid 60s.
