October 29, 30

I fished at a private sand pit lake in the afternoon, and my chiropractor fished with me on October 30. We are still catching largemouth bass up to 17 inches, bluegills up to 8 inches, and crappies up to 13 inches using a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, a Shaky Jig with a Chompers 4-inch plastic worm, and using a Chompers 4-inch drop shot worm on a drop shot rig. These fish were caught around points, brush, and edges of weed beds in depths of 25 feet or less.

October 28

I fished at a private sand pit lake in the mid-afternoon for a few hours. I caught largemouth bass up to 17 inches, a few bluegills up to 8 inches, and a 13-inch crappie using a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner and rubber skirt jig with plastic craw combo around underwater brush piles, edges of weed beds, and underwater points in depths of 24 feet or less.

October 26

My brother Tim and I fished at a private sand pit lake in the afternoon. We caught god numbers of largemouth bass between 13 and 18 inches, and a 14 -inch crappie using a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner around points and underwater brush piles in depths of 20 feet or less.

October 23-25

My chiropractor and I fished at his private sand pit lake in the afternoon. We caught good numbers of largemouth bass up to 17.50 inches, including a 22-inch Master Angler that my chiropractor caught, and a few bluegills up to 8 inches. We caught these fish using a 1/8-, 1/4-, and 3/4-oz. Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, and a rubber skirted jig with a 3-inch plastic grub or pork frog combo around points, underwater brush piles, and edges of deep weed beds in depths of 24 feet or less.

October 20

My son, Chris, and I fished with my chiropractor at his private sand pit lake in the afternoon. We caught good numbers of largemouth bass up to 18 inches, and a few bluegills up to 8.50 inches using the Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, and a jig with a 3-inch plastic grub. These fish were caught around points, edges of weed beds, and underwater brush piles in depth of 24 feet or less.

October 19

A friend and I fished at Red Willow Reservoir, and we caught wipers between 14 and 22 inches, white bass up to 13 inches, and a 12-inch crappie. We caught these fish using a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, jigging spoon, and a lipless crankbait around main lake points and underwater humps in depth of 20 feet or less. The surface water temperature is averaging around 57 degrees.

October 15, 16, 18

I fished at a private sand pit lake in the afternoon for a few hours. I caught good numbers of largemouth bass between 10 and 17.50 inches, a few crappies up to 13 inches, and a few bluegill up to 9.50 inches. I caught these fish on a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, and a jig with a 3-inch plastic grub around points, underwater brush piles, and edges of deep weed beds in depths of 25 feet or less.

October 11-14

I fished at two different private sand pit lakes in the afternoon, and my chiropractor fished with me on October 10th. We caught good numbers of largemouth bass up to 18 inches, crappies between 8 and 14.85 inches, a few perch up to 11 inches, and a few bluegill up to 8 inches. We caught these fish using a 1/8-, 1/4-, and 3/4-oz. Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner around points, edges of deep weed beds, and around underwater brush piles in depths of 24 feet or less.

October 10

I guided on Red Willow Reservoir in the afternoon and I caught a Master Angler flathead catfish measuring 37 inches. My clients and I also caught wipers between 18 and 21 inches, and white bass up to 13 inches using a 3/4- and 1-oz. Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner around main lake points, underwater humps, and flats in depths of 15 feet or less. The surface water temperature is in the mid 60s.

October 9

I fished at a private sand pit lake in the afternoon and I caught a Master Angler 15-inch crappie on a 1/4-oz. Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner. I also caught smaller crappies between 9 and 14 inches, and largemouth bass between 10 and 17 inches on a 1/4- and 3/4- oz. Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, and jig and craw combo around points, weed beds, and underwater brush piles in depths of 20 feet or less.

October 4

I guided on Red Willow Reservoir and my clients and I caught good numbers of wipers up to 22 inches, white bass up to 14 inches, a northern pike, and a walleye. We caught these fish around main lake points, underwater humps, road beds, edges of creek channels, and flats next to deep water using a 3/4-and 1-oz. Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, jigging spoon, topwater plug, and a Carolina rig with gizzard shad in depths of 25 feet or less. The surface water temperature is in the mid 60s.

September 29, 30

My brother Tim and I fished at two different private sand pit lakes, We caught good numbers of largemouth bass between 10 and 19.25 inches, and a few crappies up to 13 inches. We caught these fish around points, flats next to deep water, edges of weed beds, and underwater brush piles in depths of 25 feet or less using a 3/4-oz. Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, jig and plastic craw combo, and a Carolina and drop shot rig using plastic baits.

September 28

I took a friend fishing at Red Willow Reservoir and we caught good numbers of white bass up to 14 inches, two bluegills, and a 32-inch northern pike. We caught these fish on a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, jigging spoon, and a topwater plug in depths of 25 feet or less around main lake points, underwater humps, road beds, back in a large cove, and next to the dam areas. The surface water temperature is in the upper 60s.

September 25, 27

My chiropractor and I fished at his private sand pit lake in the afternoon, and I caught a nice Master Angler largemouth bass at 21 inches. We also caught smaller largemouths between 10 and 18.75 inches using a 3/4-oz. Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner around points, edges of deep weed beds, underwater brush piles, and flats next to deep water in depths of 22 feet or less.

September 23

My brother Tim and I fished at two different private sand pit lakes. My brother caught a nice 21.50-inch largemouth bass. We also caught good numbers of smaller largemouth bass between 8 and 19.50 inches, and crappies between 8 and 14 inches. These fish were caught on a 3/4-oz. Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, a Carolina rig and drop shot rig with plastic baits, and a jig head and small plastic worms around points, underwater brush piles, and flats next to deep water in depth of 20 feet or less.

September 22

My chiropractor and I fished for largemouth bass at Wellfleet Lake (a 50-acre lake near Welfleet, NE). We caught largemouth bass between 12 and 17 inches around standing timber and fallen trees in depths of five feet or less using jig and pork frog combo. The surface water temperature is averaging around 70 degrees.

September 20,21

My chiropractor and I fished at his private sand pit lake in the afternoon, and I caught a Master Angler largemouth bass at 20.50 inches. We also caught smaller largemouth bass between 10 and 19 inches using a 3/4-oz. Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, a drop shot rig and Carolina rig with plastic baits, and a jig and pork frog combo around weed beds, points, underwater brush piles, and flats next to deep water in depths of 24 feet or less.

September 15,16

I guided the same client at Red Willow Reservoir on September 15, and at Swanson Reservoir on September 16. I caught a Master Angler wiper at 26 inches, and my client and I also caught good numbers of smaller wipers between 14 and 22 inches, white bass up to 14 inches, four crappies between 9 and 13 inches, and a few small channel catfish. We caught these fish around main lake points, flats next to deep water, underwater humps, road beds, and edges of creek channels in depths of 28 feet or less using Lytle's Secret Tail Spinners, jigging spoons, and a Carolina rig using live baits. The surface water temperature is in the upper 60s.

September 13,14

I fished at two different private sand pit lakes in the afternoon. I caught a nice Master Angler largemouth bass at 22 inches. I also caught good numbers of smaller largemouth bass between 10 and and 19 inches. These fish were caught on a 3/4-oz. Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner and a drop shot rig with plastic baits around points, flats next to deep water, edges of weed beds, and around underwater brush piles in depths of 25 feet or less.

September 9

My brother Tim and I fished at three different private sand pit lakes. I caught a nice Master Angler crappie at 17.50-inches on a 3/4-oz. Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner. We also caught smaller crappies up to 14.50 inches, largemouth bass up to 18 inches, and bluegills up to 9 inches. These fish were caught on a 3/4-oz. Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, a drop shot rig with plastic baits, and a jig head and small plastic worms. They were caught around underwater brush piles, points, and flats next to deep water.

September 8

I guided on Red Willow Reservoir and my clients and I caught and released over 100 white bass up to 14 inches. We also caughta few wipers up to 18 inches, and a 16-inch walleye. We caught these fish using a 3/4-, 1-, and 1.50-oz. Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, and a Carolina rig with live baits (gizzard shad and shiners) around main lake points, underwater humps, road beds, flats next to deep water, and back in a deep cove. The surface water temperature is in the mid 70s.

September 3

My brother Tim and I fished at a private sand pit lake in the afternoon. We caught good numbers of largemouth bass between 10 and 19.75 inches using a 3/4-oz. Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, a drop shot rig with a plastic bait, a jig head and small plastic worms, rubber skirt jig and plastic craw combo, and a floating plastic frog. They were caught around shallow weed beds with the plastic frog, and edges of deep weed beds, deep water points, and flats next to deep water with the others lures.

September 1

I guided on Red Willow Reservoir and my clients and I caught good numbers of white bass up to 13 inches, wipers up to 19 inches, three channel catfish between 28 and 29.25 inches, and a walleye around main lake points, underwater humps, and flats next to deep water in depths of 30 feet or less. We caught our fish on a 3/4-, and 1-oz. Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, and a Carolina rig with live baits (gizzard shad and shiners). The surface water temperature is in the upper 70s.
