July 28
I guided on Red Willow Reservoir and my clients and I caught good
numbers of wipers between 13 and 22.50 inches, white bass up to 13
inches, two channel catfish at 28 and 24 inches, and a small
walleye. We caught these fish around main lake points, flats next to
deep water, underwater humps, underwater road beds, and edges of
creek channels using a Carolina Rig with shiners, Lytle's Secret
Tail Spinners, and jigging spoons in depths of 25 feet or less. The
surface water temperature is averaging around 80 degrees.
July 27
I fished at a private sand pit lake in the afternoon. I caught three
Master Angler fish including two largemouth bass at 21 and 20
inches, and a 15-inch crappie. I also caught good numbers of smaller
largemouth bass between 12 and 19 inches, and two walleyes at 24-
and 22 inches. I caught these fish on a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner,
3/4 oz. spinnerbait, and a 5-inch swim bait around edges of deep
weed beds next to points in depths of 25 feet or less.
July 25-26
I guided on Red Willow both days and my clients and I caught good
numbers of wipers up to 23 inches, white bass between 9 and 13
inches, northern pike between 24 and 32 inches, channel catfish up
to 29 inches, a few walleyes up to 18 inches, and crappies up to 12
inches. We caught these fish using a Carolina Rig with shiners,
Lytle's Secret Tail Spinners, Jigging Spoons, and a 4-inch swimbait
around underwater humps, roadbeds, flats next to deep water, edges
of creek channel, and main lake points in depths of 34 feet or less.
The surface water temperature is in the lower to mid 80s.
July 22
My brother Rod and I went fishing at Red Willow Reservoir. We caught
good numbers of wipers between 13 and 23.50 inches, white bass up to
13 inches, northern pike between 24 and 32 inches, and crappies up
to 13 inches. We caught these fish on a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner,
Reelbait Flasher Jig with a 4-inch swimbait, and jigging spoon
around main lake points, underwater humps, underwater road beds, and
edges of creek channels in depths of 32 feet or less.
July 19-21
I guided on Red Willow Reservoir on all three days and one of my
clients caught a nice Master Angler walleye at 29 inches. My clients
and I also caught smaller walleyes between 14 and 22 inches, wipers
between 13 and 23 inches, white bass between 9 and 13 inches,
northern pike up to 31 inches, channel catfish up to 28 inches, and
crappies between 8 and 12 inches. We caught these fish around main
lake points, underwater humps, underwater road beds, flats next to
deep water, and edges of creek channels in depths of 32 feet or less
using a Carolina Rig with shiners, Lytle's Secret Tail Spinners, and
jigging spoons. The surface water temperature is averaging around 80
degrees.

July 13-16
I guided on Red Willow Reservoir on all four days and one of my
clients caught a nice Master Angler northern pike at 40 inches. My
clients and I also caught smaller pike between 24 and 32 inches,
wipers between 13 and 23.50 inches, white bass up to 12 inches,
walleyes between 14 and 24 inches, channel catfish up to 28 inches,
a 24-inch flathead catfish, and an 11-inch crappie. We caught these
fish on a Carolina rig using shiners, Lytle's Secret Tail Spinners,
a 4-inch swim bait, and jigging spoons around main lake points,
underwater islands, underwater road beds, and edges of creek
channels. The surface water temperature on the main lake is in the
lower 80s.

July 10-11
I guided both days on Red Willow Reservoir and my clients and I
caught four Master Angler fish including two walleyes at 28.50 and
28 inches, a 27-inch wiper, and a 30-inch channel catfish. My
clients and I also caught smaller wipers between 12 and 23 inches,
walleyes between 14 and 22 inches, northern pike between 24 and 30
inches, white bass up to 13 inches, four channel catfish between 20
and 28 inches, and two crappies around 11 inches. We caught these
fish around main lake points, underwater road beds, humps, edges of
creek channels, and flats next to deep water in depths of 32 feet or
less using a Carolina Rig with live bait, Lytle's Secret Tail
Spinners, ReelBait Flasher Jig with 4-inch swim bait, and jigging
spoons. The surface water temperature is in the upper 70s.

July 8
I took my cousin and my younger brother fishing at Red Willow
Reservoir, and I caught a nice Master Angler wiper at 29 inches. We
also caught good numbers of smaller wipers up to 23.50 inches, white
bass up to 13 inches, northern pike between 24 and 32 inches, and a
29-inch channel catfish. These fish were caught on a Lytle's Secret
Tail Spinner, ReelBait Flasher Jig with a 4-inch swim bait, jigging
spoons, and a Carolina Rig using live bait around main lake points,
underwater humps, road beds, edges of creek channels, and flats next
to deep water in depths of 30 feet or less. The surface water
temperature is in the lower 80s.

July 6
I guided on Red Willow Reservoir and my client caught a Master
Angler wiper at 24.50 inches. We also caught smaller wipers between
12 and 23 inches, white bass between 8 and 13 inches, northern pike
up to 31 inches, a few walleyes, and a 26-inch channel catfish. We
caught these fish around main lake points, underwater humps and road
beds, edges of creek channels, and flats next to deep water in
depths of 32 feet or less using a Carolina rig with shiners, Lytle's
Secret Tail Spinners, jigging spoons, and a Reelbait Flasher Jig
with a 4-inch swimbait.

July 2-5
I guided the same clients on all four days at Red Willow Reservoir
and we caught two Master Angler Wipers at 31.50 and 24.50 inches. My
clients and I also caught good numbers of smaller wipers between 12
and 23 inches, white bass between 9 and 13 inches, walleyes between
13 and 17 inches, northern pike up 30 inches, two crappies around 12
inches, and freshwater drum. We caught these fish on a Carolina rig
using shiners, Lytle's Secret Tail Spinners, jigging spoons, and
topwater plugs around underwater road beds, humps, main lake points,
flats next to deep water, and next to the dam areas in depths of 32
feet or less. The surface water temperature is in the mid to upper
70s in the morning and in the lower 80s by late afternoon.

July 1
I took my cousin, his son, and my younger brother fishing for a half
of a day at Red Willow Reservoir. We caught good numbers of wipers
between 12 and 23 inches, white bass up to 13 inches, six walleyes
between 14 and 18 inches, four northern pike between 24 and 30
inches and freshwater drum. We caught these fish around main lake
points, underwater road beds, and humps in depths of 32 feet or less
using the Lytle's Secret Tail Spinners, jigging spoons, and a
Carolina rig using shiners.
