July 31

I took my brother Rod, and a friend (Marty Hughes) fishing at Swanson Reservoir. We caught good numbers of white bass between 10 and 15 inches, and some wipers up to 21 inches. We caught these fish around main points and underwater humps in depths of 22 feet or less using a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner. The surface water temperature on the main lake is in the lower 80s.

July 28

I guided on Red Willow Reservoir and my clients and I caught nine Master Angler wipers (28.50", two 27.50", two 27", and four 26"). We also caught smaller wipers up to 23 inches, white bass up to 12 inches, walleyes up to 27 inches, channel catfish up to 26 inches, and two smallmouth bass. These fish were caught around underwater humps, road beds, and along the dam areas using a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, and a Carolina rig using live baits in depths of 28 feet or less. The surface water temperature on the main lake is in the lower 80s.

July 27

I guided on Red Willow Reservoir and my clients and I caught seven Master Angler wipers (30.50", 29.50", 29", 28", 27.50", 27", and 26"). We also caught smaller wipers up to 22 inches, white bass up to 13 inches, channel catfish up to 27 inches, small walleyes and a northern pike. We caught these fish on a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, and a Carolina rig using live baits around underwater humps, road beds, and edges of creek channels in depths of 28 feet or less. The surface water temperature is in the lower 80s.

July 26

I guided on Red Willow Reservoir and one of my clients caught a nice 31-inch wiper. My clients and I also caught smaller wipers, white bass, walleyes, and channel catfish. We caught these fish on a Lytle's Secret Tail spinner, and a Carolina rig using live baits around underwater humps, road beds, and edges of a creek channel in depths of 26 feet or less. The surface water temperature on the main lake is averaging around 80 degrees.

July 25

I guided on Red Willow Reservoir and my clients and I caught five Master Angler wipers (31", 28", 27.50", and two 27"). We also caught smaller wipers, white bass, walleyes, and channel catfish. We caught these fish around underwater humps, edges of creek channels, and underwater road beds in depths of 28 feet or less on a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, and a Carolina rig using live baits. The surface water temperature is in the lower 80s.

July 23

I guided on Red Willow Reservoir and my clients and I caught 22 Master Angler wipers (32", two at 31", three at 30", four at 29", four at 28", five at 27", 26", 25.50", and 25"). We caught these wipers on a Carolina rig using live bait in depths of 28 feet or less around a deep road bed next to two underwater humps. The surface water temperature is in the lower 80s.

July 22

I took my two brothers, Rod and Tim, fishing at Red Willow Reservoir. We caught 28 Master Angler wipers (34", 31", three at 30", seven at 29", six at 28", seven at 27", two at 26", and one at 24"). We caught these fish in depths of 28 feet or less around a deep road bed next to two underwater humps on a Carolina rig using gizzard shad and bluegill. We also caught white bass and smaller wipers using a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner on a road bed next to a main lake point in depths of 10 feet or less. The surface water temperature is around 80 degrees on the main lake.

July 20

I guided on Red Willow Reservoir and we caught a nice 30-inch Master Angler wiper. My clients and I also caught smaller wipers, white bass, walleyes, channel catfish, and a northern pike. They were caught on a Carolina rig using gizzard shad, and a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner around underwater humps, road beds, and edges of creek channels in depths of 28 feet or less.

July 18, 19

I guided on the 18th and took my brother, Rod, fishing on the 19th. We caught walleyes up to 26 inches, channel catfish up to 27 inches, crappies up to 13 inches, white bass, smaller wipers, and a few northern pike. My clients caught their fish on a Carolina rig using shiners, and my brother and I caught most of our fish on Lytle's Secret Tail Spinners, with a few on a ReelBait Flasher jig with a 4-inch paddletail. We caught these fish around underwater humps, road beds, main lake points, edges of creek channels, and next to the dam areas in depths of 28 feet or less. The surface water temperature is averaging around 80 degrees.

July 17

I guided on Red Willow Reservoir and my clients caught three Master Angler wipers at 28, 27, and 24.50 inches. We also caught good numbers of smaller wipers up to 23 inches, white bass up to 13 inches, channel catfish up to 26 inches, walleyes up to 16 inches, and a two nice crappies around 12 inches. We caught these fish on a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, and a Carolina rig using shiners and gizzard shad around underwater humps, edges of creek channels, main lake points, and underwater road beds in depths of 30 feet or less. The surface water temperature is in the lower 80s.

July 14

I guided on Red Willow Reservoir and my clients caught four Master Angler fish including three wipers at 31, 30, and 25.50 inches, and a 30-inch channel catfish. We also caught smaller wipers, white bass, walleyes, crappies, channel catfish, and a few northern pike using the 3/4- and 1-ounce Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, and a Carolina rig using shiners around underwater humps, roadbeds, and edges of creek channel in depth of 30 feet or less. The surface water temperature is in the 80s.

July 12-13

I guided on Red Willow Reservoir and we caught three Master Angler fish including two wipers at 29 and 24.25 inches, and a 31-inch channel catfish. My clients and I also caught good numbers of smaller wipers up to 23 inches, white bass up to 13 inches, walleyes up to 18 inches, channel catfish up to 29 inches, crappies up to 13 inches, and a few small northern pike. We caught these fish on a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinners, and a Carolina rig using shiners around main lake points, underwater humps, edges of creek channels, and underwater road beds in depths of 25 feet or less. The surface water temperature is in the lower 80s.

July 11

I guided on Red Willow Reservoir, and my clients and I caught good numbers of wipers, walleyes, white bass, crappies, channel catfish, and a northern pike. One of my clients caught a nice 31-inch Master Angler channel catfish. The fish were caught on a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, a 3/4-ounce ReeBait Flasher Jig with a ReelBait Paddletail (a prototype we are testing), and a Carolina rig using shiners around underwater humps, edges of creek channels, and underwater road beds in depths of 30 feet or less. The surface water temperature is in the upper 70s.

July 10

I guided on Red Willow Reservoir, and my clients and I caught good numbers of wipers up to 20 inches, white bass up to 13 inches, walleyes between 14 and 18 inches, channel catfish up to 29 inches, three crappies between 10 and 12 inches, and a largemouth bass about 16 inches. We caught these fish around underwater humps, roadbeds, and edges of creek channels in depths of 30 feet or less. They were caught on a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, a 3/4-ounce ReelBait Flasher Jig with a new ReelBait Paddletail (a prototype we are testing), and a Carolina rig using shiners. The surface water temperature is in the upper 70s.

July 8

I guided on Red Willow Reservoir. One of my clients caught a nice 28-inch Master Angler wiper, plus my clients and I caught good numbers of smaller wipers up to 22 inches, white bass up to 13 inches, channel catfish up to 25 inches, walleyes up to 17 inches, and a nice 13-inch crappie. We caught these fish on a Carolina rig using shiners, Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, and a 3/4-ounce ReelBait Flasher Jig with a new ReelBait 5-inch Paddletail (a prototype we are testing). The fish were caught around edges of creek channels and underwater humps in depths of 30 feet or less. The surface water temperature is in the mid 70s.

July 7

I guided on Red Willow Reservoir. My clients and I caught three Master Angler fish including two wipers at 28 and 25.50 inches, and a 31.50-inch channel catfish. We also caught good numbers of smaller wipers up to 22 inches, white bass up to 13 inches, walleyes up to 17.50 inches, and channel catfish up to 26 inches. We caught these fish on a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, a ReelBait Flasher Jig with a 4-inch paddletail, and a Carolina rig using shiners around underwater humps, main lake points, underwater road beds, and edges of creek channels in depths of 30 feet or less.

July 6

We also caught good numbers of smaller wipers up to 23 inches, walleyes up to 18 inches, white bass up to 13 inches, channel catfish up to 27 inches, and a 12-inch crappie. They were caught on a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, a 6-inch paddletail swim bait, and a Carolina rig using shiners next to underwater road beds, main lake points, underwater humps, and edges of creek channels in depth of 25 feet or less. The surface water temperature is in the upper 70s.

July 5

My brother Rod and I went fishing at a private sand pit lake in the evening. We caught good numbers of largemouth bass between 12 and19.50 inches. We caught these bass on a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, Yum Buzzfrog, and a plastic creature bait around edges of weed beds and drop offs next to points.

July 3

I guided on Red Willow Lake. My client and I caught wipers between 14 and 26 inches, walleyes between 14 and 17 inches, white bass up to 13 inches, channel catfishs up to 26 inches, and a 12-inch crappie. We caught these fish around underwater humps, and edges of creek channels in depths of 30 feet or less. They were caught on a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, a Reelbait Flasher Jig with a 4-inch paddletail, a 6-inch paddletail swim bait, and a Carolina rig using shiners.

July 2

I took my two son fishing at Red Willow Reservoir in the afternoon. We caught two Master Angler wipers at 26 and 24.25-inches, plus good numbers of smaller wipers between 14 and 23 inches, white bass up to 12 inches, and two channel catfish at 29 and 24 inches. We caught these fish around underwater humps, and edges of creek channels in depths of 35 feet or less using a Lyte's Secret Tail Spinner, and a 6-inch paddletail swim bait.

July 1

I guided on Red Willow Lake and we caught two Master Angler wipers at 30 and 27.50 inches. My clients and I also caught good numbers of smaller wipers up to 23 inches, white bass up to 12 inches, channel catfish up to 26 inches, walleyes up to 17 inches, and a nice 12-inch crappie. We caught these fish on a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, a 4- and 6-inch paddletail swim bait, and a Carolina rig using shiners. The fish were caught around underwater humps, edges of creek channels, and tips of main lake points in depths of 35 feet or less.
