September 27, 29

I fished at two different private sand pit lakes in the afternoon. I'm still catching good numbers of largemouth bass up to 18 inches on a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner. Most of these bass were caught along the edges of weed beds, drop offs next to points, and around underwater brush piles.

September 25

I fished at two different private sand pit lakes in the afternoon. I caught a Master Angler largemouth bass at 20 inches, plus good numbers of smaller largemouth bass using a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner. These bass were caught along the edges of deep weed beds, and drop off next to points.

September 24

I fished at Red Willow Reservoir in the afternoon. I caught white bass, wipers, and a 17-inch largemouth bass using a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, and a meduim-diving crankbait around main lake points, humps, and flats next to deep water.

September 22, 23

I guided the same clients both days on Red Willow Reservoir. We caught good numbers of wipers up to 19 inches, white bass up to 13 inches, a few walleyes and channel catfish up to 22 inches, and a 13-inch crappie. These fish were caught around underwater humps, road beds, main lake points, next to the dam area, and flats next to deep water. We caught these fish using a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, and a Carolina rig with gizzard shad. The surface water temperature is in the lower 70s with the water clarity around 6 to 10 inches.

September 17, 18

I guided the same clients both days on Swanson Reservoir. We caught good numbers of wipers up to 24 inches, and white bass up to 14 inches using a Lytle's Secret Tailspinner, and a Carolina rig with gizzard shad. These fish were caught around an underwater road bed and a humps near the dam area in depths of 12 to 24 feet of water. The surface water temperature is averaging around 70 degrees.

September 15

I went to Red Willow Reservoir in the afternoon for a few hours. I caught good numbers of white bass up to 13 inches, and wipers up to 19 inches around underwater humps, and next to an underwater road bed near deep water. The surface water temperature on the main lake is averaging around 74 degrees with the water clarity around 8 to 12 inches.

September 12-14

I fished at two different private sand pit lakes in the afternoon for a few hours. I caught good numbers of largemouth bass up to 18 inches, 3 walleyes between 17 and 22 inches, and a few nice bluegill up to 10 inches using the Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner. Most of these fish were caught along the deep drop off next to points, and the edges of deep weed beds.

September 11

I fished at Red Willow Reservoir in the afternoon. I caught good numbers of wipers up to 20 inches, and white bass up to 13 inches, plus a few small walleyes. These fish were caught on a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner around underwater humps, and next to the dam areas in depth of 8 to 25 feet of water. The surface water temperature is in the mid 70s.

September 10

My brother Tim and I fished at couple different private sandpit lakes in the afternoon. We caught largemouth bass between 10 and 18 inches and bluegills up to 9 inches. We caught these fish using a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, and my brother Tim caught his fish on a jig and worm combo. We caught these fish along the drop off next to points, and the edges of deep weed beds.

September 8, 9

I guided on Red Willow Reservoir both days. My clients and I caught good numbers of wipers between 12 and 20 inches, white bass up to 13 inches, walleyes between 14 and 17 inches, channel catfish between 11 and 26 inches, a 13-inch crappie, and a 12-inch largemouth bass. We caught these fish using a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, and a Carolina rig with shiners and gizzard shad. These fish were caught around underwater humps, road beds, main lake points, and along the dam area. The surface water temperature is in the mid 70s and the water clarity is between 12 and 16 inches.

September 4

My brother Tim and I fished at Red Willow in the afternoon. Tim caught a Master Angler wiper at 29 inches, we also caught smaller wipers, white bass up to 13 inches, and small walleyes. These fish were caught around underwater humps and road beds in depths of 16 to 28 feet of water using a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, and a Carolina rig with gizzard shad. September 3

I fished at Red Willow Reservoir in the afternoon for a few hours. I caught good numbers of white bass between 9 and 13 inches, wipers up to 20 inches, and a few small walleyes. I caught these fish using a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner around underwater road beds and humps in depths of 16 to 30 feet of water.

September 2

I guided on Red Willow Reservoir and we caught good numbers of wipers between 12 and 20 inches, white bass up to 13 inches, walleyes between 13 and 18 inches, and a 12-inch white crappie. We caught these fish using a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, and a Carolina rig with gizzard shad and shiners around underwater humps and road beds in depths of 17 to 28 feet. The surface water temperature is in the upper 70s.

September 1

I fished at Red Willow Reservoir in the afternoon for a few hours. I caught good numbers numbers of white bass up to 13 inches, wipers between 13 and 20 inches, and small walleyes using a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner. I caught these fish around underwater humps and road beds in depths of 22 to 30 feet of water.
