June 30

I guided on Swanson Reservoir and we caught a Master Angler wiper at 25 inches, plus smaller wipers between 14 and 20 inches, and white bass up to 13.50 inches. June 28, 29

I guided the same anglers both days on Swanson Reservoir. We caught 13 Master Angler fish including 12 wipers (30, 29, 28.50, three 27, 26.50, 26, four 25 inches), and a 31-inch channel catfish. We also caught good numbers of smaller wipers between 13 and 22 inches, white bass between 10 and 14 inches, three walleyes at 27, 20, and 19 inches, and a few smaller channel catfish. June 27

I guided on Swanson Reservoir in the morning and at Red Willow in the afternoon. We caught a Master Angler wiper at 28 inches, plus good numbers of smaller wipers between 12 and 21 inches, white bass up to 14 inches, and walleyes between 8 and 16.50 inches. We caught the fish around underwater humps, main lake points, and along a underwater roadbeds using a Lytle's Secret Lure, a 3/4 oz. June 26

I guided at Swanson Reservoir in the morning and at Red Willow in the afternoon. We caught three Master Angler wiper (27, 26.50, and 25), plus smaller wipers up to 20 inches, white bass up to 13 inches, walleyes between 13 and 16 inches, and a 10-inch crappie. The fish were caught on a Lytle's Secret Lure, a Carolina rig using live bait or a Berkley Gulp! 3-inch Minnow Grub, and a 3/4 oz. ReelBait Walleye Flasher Jig with a Gulp! 4-inch Minnow Grub. June 24, 25

I guided on Swanson Reservoir and we caught five Master Angler wipers (28, 26.50, two 25, and 24 inches). We also caught good numbers of smaller wipers between 13 and 22 inches, white bass up to 14 inches, and a few walleyes. We caught these fish using a Lytle's Secret Lure, and Carolina and dropshot rigs with live bait. The fish were caught around underwater humps and next to a roadbeds near deep water. June 22, 23

I guided the same anglers both days on Red Willow and Swanson Reservoirs. We caught three Master Angler fish including two wipers at 31 and 27 inches, and a 28.25-inch walleye. We also caught smaller wipers between 12 and 20 inches, walleyes between 8 and 24 inches, white bass up to 14 inches, and a few crappies. We caught them around main lake points, underwater humps, and along an underwater road bed. They were caught on a Carolina rig using live bait and  a Berkley Gulp! 3-inch Minnow Grub, a Lytle's Secret Lure, a ReelBait Walleye Flasher Jig with a Gulp! 3-inch Minnow Grub, and a dropshot rig using a Gulp! 3-inch Minnow Grub with a Walleye Flasher Jig on the tag end of the line. June 20, 21

I guided the same anglers both days on Red Willow (June 20) and Swanson (June 21). We caught two Master angler fish including a northern pike at 37.50 inches and a 29-inch wiper. We also caught smaller wipers between 12 and 20 inches, walleyes up to 18 inches, and white bass between 10 and 14 inches. We caught them on a Lytle's Secret Lure, a ReelBait Walleye Flasher Jig with a Berkley Gulp! 3-inch Minnow Grub, a Carolina rig with live bait, and a dropshot rig using live bait and a Gulp! June 118, 19

I guided the same anglers both days on Swanson and Red Willow Reservoirs. We caught wipers between 11 and 19 inches, walleyes up to 17 inches, white bass between 9 and 13 inches, a channel catfish around 24 inches, a few freshwater drums and some crappies. These fish were caught on a Carolina rig using live bait, a Lytle's Secret Lure, and a ReelBait Walleye Flasher Jig with a Berkley Gulp! 3-inch Minnow Grub. We are catching these fish around underwater humps, main lake points, and next to an underwater roadbed near deep water. The surface water temperature is around 70 degrees and the water clarity went to clear to stained, around 20 inches or less, due to the heavy rains and strong winds we had the last few weeks.

June 17

I guided on Red Willow and we caught a Master Angler Walleye at 29.50 inches that weighted 9 pounds, 4 ounces on my digital scale. We also caught good numbers of smaller walleyes, wipers up to 20 inches, white bass up to 12 inches, a 13-inch crappie, and a small channel catfish. The fish were caught along the drop off around underwater humps and main lake points using a Lytle's Secret Lure, a ReelBait Walleye Flasher Jig with a Berkley Gulp! 3-inch Minnow , and a Carolina rig with live bait. June 16

I guided on Swanson Reservoir in the morning and at Red Willow in the afternoon. We caught wipers between 13 and 20 inches, small walleyes, and a few white bass. We caught these fish using a Carolina rig with live bait and a ReelBait Walleye Flasher Jig with a Berkley Gulp! 3-inch Minnow or Nightcrawler. The fish were caught around main lake points and underwater humps

June 15

I guided on Red Willow Reservoir in the afternoon. We caught a Master Wiper at 27 inches, plus smaller wipers between 12 and 21 inches, walleyes up to 18 inches, and white bass up to 12 inches. We caught these fish using a Carolina rig with live bait, and a ReelBait Walleye Flasher Jig with a Berkley Gulp! 3-inch Minnow around underwater humps and main lake points. June 14

I guided on Red Willow in the morning and Swanson in the afternoon. June 12

My two brothers and I fished at a private sandpit in the afternoon. I caught a Master Angler Largemouth bass at 22 inches, plus we caught good numbers of smaller largemouth bass between 10 and 18 inches, crappies up to 13 inches, and bluegill up to 10 inches. We caught these fish around points, edges of deep weed beds, and underwater brush piles using ReelBait's Walleye Flasher Jig in 1/8- and 1/4-ounce sizes with Berkley Gulp! (Minnow Grubs, nightcrawlers, and Leeches), Lytle's Secret Lures, homemade spinnerbaits, and a small 1/8 oz. jighead with nightcrawler.

June 11

I guided on Red Willow Reservoir, and we caught a Master Angler wiper at 27 inches, plus good numbers of smaller wipers up to 20 inches, walleyes, white bass, a northern pike at 29 inches, and a small channel catfish. We caught these fish using ReelBait's Walleye Flasher Jig with a Berkley Gulp! 3-inch Minnow Grub, Lytle's Secret Lures, and a Carolina rig using live bait and a Gulp! 3-inch minnow grub. June 10

June 9

June 7, 8

June 6

June 5

I guided on Red Willow and the lake water level came up around 12 inches or more. The water clarity went from clear to stained/muddy from the heavy rain (over 5 inches) we had the last few days. We did catch good numbers of walleyes between 6 and 23 inches, wipers up to 18 inches, and a few small white bass. The fish were caught around underwater islands and main lake points using a ReelBait Walleye Flasher Jig with Berkley Gulp! (nightcrawler, 3-inch minnow grub, and 4-inch sinking minnow), and a Carolina rig and dropshot rig using shiners. The main lake surface water temperature is in the mid to upper 60s.

June 4

My brother and I went to fish at a private sandpit in the afternoon, and we caught largemouth bass between 10 and 19.50 inches, and crappies up to 15 inches. They were caught on Strike King 3X Zulu, Berkley Gulp! 5-inch Sinking Minnow, and a jig head with a Gulp! 6-inch night crawler. They were caught around points, drop offs, edges of weed beds, and underwater brush piles.

June 3

I took a former Nebraska Game and Parks Commission biologist fishing at Swanson Reservoir. We caught wipers up to 20 inches, white bass up to 14 inches, and a 17-inch walleye. These fish were caught around underwater humps, points, and next to a roadbed using Lytle' Secret Lures, Lytle's Glitter Spoons, ReelBait Walleye Flasher Jig with Berkley Gulp! 3-inch minnow grub, and marabou jigs.

June 2

My brother and I went fishing at a private sandpit in the evening, and we caught good numbers of  largemouth bass between 11 and 19 inches. They were caught on Berkley Gulp! 5-inch Sinking Minnow and 6-inch nightcrawler around edges of weedbeds.
