August 27,28

I  guided the same client both days on Red Willow Reservoir. We caught five Master Angler fish including four wipers at 30, 29, 27 and 26.50 inches, plus a 34-inch channel catfish. We also caught good numbers of smaller wipers between 13 and 21 inches, white bass up to 13 inches, walleyes between 13 and 16 inches, channel catfish between 12 and 25 inches, and a 12-inch crappie. We caught these fish on a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, and a Carolina rig with gizzard shad and salamanders around underwater humps and road beds next to deep water in depth of 15 to 30 feet. August 26

I guided on Red Willow Reservoir and we caught two Master Angler wipers at 31 and 27.50 inches. We also caught good numbers of smaller wipers between 14 and 22.50 inches, white bass up to 13 inches, walleyes between 14 and 17 inches, channel catfish up to 25 inches, and a few crappies up to 13 inches. We caught these fish around underwater humps and road beds in depth of 16 to 32 feet of water using a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner and a Carolina rig using gizzard shad and shiners. August 25

I fished at Red Willow Reservoir for a few hours in the afternoon. I caught one Master Angler wiper at 27 inches, plus good numbers of smaller wipers and white bass. I caught these fish on a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner around underwater humps and road beds next to deep water in depth of 18 to 30 feet.

August 18-20

I guided the same clients all three days on Red Willow Reservoir. We caught 17 Master Angler fish including 16 wipers at 29, 28.50, 28 (3), 27 (3), 26.50 (2), 26 (2), 25 (4) inches, plus a 33-inch channel catfish. We also caught good numbers of smaller wipers between 14 and 23 inches, white bass between 9 and 13 inches, channel catfish between 12 and 25 inches, walleyes up to 16 inches, and a 12-inch crappie. We caught these fish on the Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, a Carolina rig using gizzard shad and salamanders around underwater humps and road beds next to deep water. August 16, 17

I guided the same clients both days on Swanson and Red Willow Reservoir. We caught six Master Angler wiper at 28 (2), 27.50, 25 (2), and 24.50 inches. We also caught good numbers of smaller wipers between 12 and 22 inches, white bass up to 14 inches, channel catfish up to 28.50 inches, and small walleyes. August 14

I took my younger brother Tim fishing at Swanson Reservoir in the afternoon. We caught good numbers of white bass and wipers using a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner around underwater roadbeds, tip of points, and humps in depths of 8 to 22 feet. The surface water temperature is in the mid 70s.

August 13

I guided on Red Willow Reservoir and we caught good numbers of wipers between 14 and 22 inches, white bass up to 13 inches, walleyes up to 20 inches, channel catfish between 12 and 25 inches, and a few crappies up to 12 inches. We caught these fish on a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, and a Carolina rig using gizzard shad around underwater humps, tips of main lake points, and underwater road beds next to deep water. The surface water temperature is in the mid 70s.

August 12

I guided on Red Willow Reservoir and we caught six Master Angler wipers at 29, 28, 27 (3), and 26 inches). We also caught good numbers of smaller wipers between 14 and 23 inches, white bass up to 13 inches, channel catfish up to 22 inches, a few walleyes, crappie, and a perch. We caught these fish around underwater humps, tips of main lake points, and underwater road beds next to deep water. August 11

I guided on Swanson Reservoir and we caught good numbers of white bass up to 14 inches, and wipers up to 19 inches. We caught them on a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner and a Carolina rig using gizzard shad around underwater humps, points, and underwater road beds in depths of 8 to 22 feet. The surface water temperature is in the upper 70s.

August 10

I guided on Swanson Reservoir in the morning and at Red Willow in the afternoon. We caught two Master Angler wipers at 28 and 27 inches. We also caught good numbers of smaller wipers between 12 and 21 inches, white bass up to 14 inches, channel catfish up to 25 inches, two crappies at 13.50 and 12 inches, a few freshwater drum, and a 14-inch walleye. We caught these fish around underwater humps, ends of main lake points, and underwater roadbeds next to deep water using a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, and a Carolina rig with gizzard shad. August 8, 9

I guided on Swanson Reservoir and we caught good numbers of white bass up to 14 inches, wipers up to 21 inches, a few smaller channel catfish, and an 18-inch walleye. We caught these fish on a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, and a Carolina rig with gizzard shad around underwater humps, points, and next to an underwater roadbed near deep water.

August 7

My brother Rod and I fished at Swanson Reservoir in the afternoon. We caught good numbers of white bass up to 14 inches, and wipers up to 20 inches. We caught these fish using a Lytle's Secret Tail Spinner, and a ReelBait Walleye Flasher Jig with a Berkley Gulp! 3-inch Minnow Grub around underwater humps, points, and next to a roadbed near deep water.
