October 25, 26, 29, 30, 31

I went fishing at a private sandpit lake and caught good numbers of largemouth bass between 6 and 18 inches, crappies between 7 and 13 inches, and a few bluegills up to 9 inches. I caught these fish along the drop off around points, edges of deep weed beds, and next to brush piles using the Lytle's Secret lures.

October 22, 24

I went fishing at a private sandpit lake in the afternoon. I caught one Master Angler white bass at 18 inches, good numbers of smaller largemouth bass between 6 and 14 inches, and crappies up to 13 inches using the Lytle's Secret lures. They were caught next to the drop off around points, and edges of deep weed beds.

October 21

A friend and I went fishing at Red Willow Lake in the afternoon and caught wipers and white bass between 11 and 16 inches. We caught these fish along the dam using Lytle's Secret Lures and Doll Fly. The surface water temperature is in the upper 50s with the water clarity around 3 to 5 inches.

October 18-20

I went fishing at a private sandpit lake in the late afternoon for a few hours and caught good numbers largemouth bass between 7 and 15 inches, and crappies between 10 and 14 inches. I caught these fish on the Lytle's Secret Lures around edges of weed beds and brush piles next to the drop-off.

October 16, 17

I went fishing at Red Willow Lake in the afternoon and caught wipers and white bass between 10 and 16 inches. I was using the Lytle's Secret Lures around a rocky flats next to the dam area and a underwater hump next to the creek channel. The surface water temperature is in the upper 50s with the water clarity around 4 to 6 inches.

October 12, 14

I went fishing at a private sandpit lake in the late afternoon for a few hours. I caught good numbers of largemouth bass between 10 and 15 inches, and one crappie at 12 inches. These fish were caught on the Lytle's Secret Lures and a dropshot rig with a 4-inch plastic worm around edges of deep weed beds next to points.

October 10

I went fishing at Red Willow Lake in the afternoon. I caught good number of smaller wipers between 12 and 15 inches, and white bass up to 12 inches. These fish were caught on the Lytle's Secret Lures around mouth of a cove and a rocky flat next to deep water by the dam area. The water clarity is about 3 to 5 inches and the surface water temperature is in the lower 60s.

October 8, 9

I took a friend fishing at Swanson Lake on Friday and at Enders Lake on Saturday. We caught white bass between 9 and 13 inches using the Lytle's Secret Lures, and a jigging spoon around main lake points, underwater humps, and next to a ridge near deep water. I also caught an 18-inch largemouth bass next to the dam using a Rubber Skirt Jig - Plastic Trailer combo. The surface water temperature is in the lower 60s with the water clarity between 10 and 15 inches.

October 5

I went fishing at a private sandpit lake for about one hour in the afternoon. I caught a Master Angler white bass at 19 inches, plus a few smaller largemouth bass using Lytle's Secret Lure around an underwater hump in the middle of the sandpit.

October 2, 3

I guided the same clients both days on Swanson Lake, Red Willow Lake, and Enders Lake. The fishing was tough dues to the poor water visibility between 2 and 6 inches. We did manage to catch white bass between 8 and 12 inches around main lake points, underwater humps, along a roadbeds, and next to a flats near the creek channel using Lytle's Secret Lures. The surface water temperature is in the lower 60s.
