July 31

I guided on Red Willow Lake and we caught two Master Angler wipers at 26.50 and 25 inches. We also caught good numbers of smaller wipers and white bass, plus a few walleye, crappies, and channel catfish. They were caught on jigging spoons, slab tailspinners, lipless crankbaits, and dropshot rigs with live shiners around underwater humps. The surface water temperature was in the upper 70s in the morning and warmed into the lower 80s during the late afternoon.

July 30

I guided on Red Willow Lake and we caught three Master Angler fish including two wipers at 28 and 25 inches and one largemouth bass at 22 inches. We also caught good numbers of smaller wipers between 11 and 23 inches, white bass up to 12 inches, and walleye up to 18 inches. These fish were caught around underwater humps on jigging spoons, dropshot rigs with shiners and plastic baits, and lipless crankbaits. July 29

I guided on Red Willow Lake and we caught one Master Angler Walleye at 28.25 inches. We also caught smaller walleyes between 11 and 23 inches, good numbers of wipers between 10 and 21 inches, white bass up to 12 inches, and a few channel catfish. These fish were caught around underwater humps on dropshot Rigs with shiners, dropshot rigs with plastic baits (Berkley Power Grub and Zoom Super Fluke JR.) using a ReelBait Walleye Flasher Jig as a weight on the tag end of the line, and ReelBait Fergie Spoons in the new firetiger and glow firetiger color. July 28

I guided on Red Willow Lake and we caught good numbers of wipers between 12 and 23 inches, white bass up to 12 inches, crappies up to 11 inches, walleye up to 26 inches, and few channel catfish. These fish were caught around underwater humps on dropshot rigs with shiners and plastic baits, Carolina rigs with shiners, and ReelBait Fergie Spoons in the new glow firetiger and parrot colors. The surface water temperature is in the upper 70s.

July 27

I guided on Red Willow Lake and we caught two Master Angler wipers at 25 and 24 inches. We also caught good numbers of smaller wipers between 10 and 23 inches, white bass up to 12 inches, channel catfish up to 26 inches, crappies up to 11 inches, and a few walleye. These fish were caught around main lake points and underwater humps using Carolina rigs with shiners, dropshot rigs with shiners and plastic baits with a Reel bait Flasher Jig as a weight on the tag end of the line, ReelBait Fergie Spoons in the new glow firetiger color, and Cabela's Slab Tailspinners. July 26

I guided on Red Willow Lake and we caught two Master Angler fish including a 30-inch walleye and a 27-inch wiper. Both fish were caught on a Cabela's Slab Tailspinner. We also caught good numbers of wipers between 12 and 22 inches, white bass and crappies up to 12 inches, walleye up to 15.50 inches, and channel catfish between 14 and 27 inches. These fish were caught on dropshot rigs using shiners and plastic baits, Carolina rigs with shiners, and ReelBait Fergie spoons in the new parrot color. July 25

I guided on Red Willow Lake and we caught two Master Angler wipers at 28.50 and 24 inches. We also caught smaller wipers between 12 and 22 inches, white up to 12 inches, crappies up to 13 inches, and a few non-keeper walleye. These fish were caught on Carolina rigs using shiners and bluegills, dropshot rigs with Zoom Super Fluke JR. using a ReelBait Walleye Flasher Jig as a weight on the tag end of the line, and ReelBait Fergie spoons in the new firetiger color. July 24

I went fishing at Red Willow Lake in the afternoon and caught one Master Angler wiper at 24 inches plus good numbers of smaller wipers between 12 and 20 inches and white bass up to 12 inches. They were caught on ReelBait Fergie Spoons (new firetiger and parrot colors) and dropshot rigs with Zoom Super Fluke JR. using ReelBait Walleye Flasher Jig as a weight on the tag end of the line. These fish were caught around underwater humps. The surface water temperature is in the upper 70s.

July 22

I took Ben Breckenridge (Manager of Willow Spring Marina) fishing in the late afternoon, and we caught one Master Angler wiper at 24.50 inches. We caught good numbers of smaller wipers between 10 and 23.50 inches. We also caught walleye between 12 and 17 inches, and white bass up to 11 inches. These fish were caught on Carolina rigs with shiners, jigging spoons, and topwater plugs fished around main lake points and underwater humps. The surface water temperature is in the lower 80s.

July 21

I guided on Red Willow Lake and we caught one Master Angler wiper at 25.50 inches. We also caught smaller wipers between 10 and 23 inches, white bass up to 12 inches, walleye between 13 and 17 inches, channel catfish up to 24 inches, one northern pike at 28 inches, and one smallmouth bass at 13 inches. These fish were caught on Carolina rigs with shiners, jigging spoons, topwater plugs, and deep diving crankbaits around underwater humps and main lake points. July 20

I guided on Red Willow Lake and we caught one Master Angler wiper at 27 inches. We also caught smaller wipers between 10 and 22 inches, white bass up to 12 inches, walleye up to 17 inches, a few crappies up to 11 inches, and a few channel catfish around main lake points and underwater humps. These fish were caught on Carolina rigs with shiners, jigging spoons, and deep diving crankbaits. The surface water temperature is in the lower 80s.

July 19

I guided on Red Willow Lake and we caught three Master Angler fish including a pair of wipers (28.50 and 25 inches) and one flathead catfish (39 inches). We also caught good numbers of wipers between 10 and 22 inches, white bass up to 12 inches, channel catfish up to 24 inches, two northern pike at 33 and 30 inches, and a few walleyes and crappies. July 18

I guided on Red Willow Lake and we caught one Master Angler Wiper at 29 inches. We also caught good numbers of smaller wipers between 10 and 22 inches, white bass up to 12 inches, and we're still catching a few walleyes, crappies, and smallmouth bass while fishing around main lake points and underwater humps. These fish were caught on jigging spoon, Carolina rigs with shiners and dropshot rigs with shiners or a Zoom Super Fluke JR using a ReelBait Walleye Flasher Jig as a weight on the tag end of the line. July 17

I guided on Red Willow Lake and we caught two Master Angler wipers at 30 and 25 inches on a jigging spoon. We also caught good number of smaller wipers, white bass up to 12 inches, walleye up to 22 inches, channel catfish up to 24 inches, two smallmouth bass at 16 and 14 inches, and a few crappie up to 11 inches, and one northern pike at 26 inches. July 14

I guided on Red Willow Lake and we caught a pair of Master Angler wipers at 26 and 25 inches. We also caught good numbers of smaller wipers between 10 and 23 inches, white bass up to 12 inches, walleye up to 25 inches, channel catfish up to five pounds, and a 16-inch largemouth bass. These fish were caught around main lake points and underwater humps on Carolina rigs with shiners, and on dropshot rigs with shiners and a Zoom Super Fluke JR. using a Walleye Flasher Jig as a weight on the tag end of the line. July 12, 13

I guided the same group for two days and we caught two Master Angler wipers at 26.50 and 24 inches. We also caught good numbers of smaller wipers between 10 and 23 inches, walleyes up to 24 inches, white bass up to 12 inches, and channel catfish up to 24 inches while fishing around main lake points and underwater humps. These fish were caught on Carolina rigs using shiners, and on dropshot rigs with shiners, a Berkley Powerbait Bungee Leech, and Zoom Super Fluke JR. using a ReelBait Walleye Flasher Jig as a weight on the tag end of the line. July 10, 11

I guided the same client both days and we caught five Master Angler fish including four wipers (3 at 25", 1 at 24") and one walleye (28.50"). We also caught good numbers of wipers between 12 and 23 inches, white bass up to 12 inches, walleyes up to 16 inches, a few catfish up to four pounds, and a largemouth bass at 15 inches. These fish were caught on Carolina rigs using shiners, dropshot rigs with shiners and Berkley Powerbait Bungee Leech using the ReelBait Walleye Flasher Jig as a weight on the tag end of the line. July 9

We also caught good numbers of smaller wipers between 10 and 23 inches, white bass up to 12 inches, walleye up to 17 inches, channel catfish up to 26 inches, a few crappies up to 12 inches, and a smallmouth bass at 13 inches. These fish were caught on Carolina rigs with shiners, crankbaits, slab tailspinners, and topwater plugs around main lake points and underwater humps. July 8

I guided on Red Willow Lake and we caught six Master Anglers fish including four wipers (26", 24.50", 24.25", and 24") and two channel catfish (33" and 31"). We also caught good numbers of wipers between 12 and 23 inches, white bass up to 12 inches, walleye up to 18 inches, one northern pike at 26 inches, a smallmouth bass at 12 inches, and a 10-inch crappie. These fish were caught around main lake points and underwater humps using Carolina rigs with shiners, and dropshot rigs with shiners and Berkley Powerbait Bungee Leech using a ReelBait Walleye Flasher Jig as a weight on the tag end of the line. July 7

I guided on Red Willow Lake and we caught one Master Angler fish, a 43.50-inch northern pike. We also caught good numbers of wipers between 11 and 22 inches, white bass up to 12 inches, walleyes up to 18 inches, and one channel catfish at 26 inches. These fish were caught on Carolina rigs using shiners, and dropshot rigs with shiners and Powerbait Bungee Leech using a ReelBait Walleye Flasher Jig as a weight on the tag end of the line. July 5, 6

I guided on Red Willow Lake and we caught 10 Master Anglers fish including seven wipers (29.50", 28", four at 26", and 25"), two largemouth bass (21.25" and 21"), and one walleye (29"). We also caught good numbers of smaller wipers between 11 and 22.50 inches, walleyes up to 18 inches, white bass up to 12 inches, a few crappies up to 11 inches, and a few channel catfish up to 26 inches.

These fish were caught on Carolina Rigs using shiners, bluegills, and gizzard shad, and dropshot rigs with shiners, crawlers, and Berkley Powerbait Bungee Leech using a ReelBait Walleye Flasher Jig as a weight on the tag end of the line.
