June 30

I guided on Red Willow Lake and we caught four Master Anglers including three wipers (2 at 29", 26"), one channel catfish (33.50"), plus other wipers up to 20inches, white bass up to 12 inches, and walleye between 14 and 15 inches. They were caught on shiners, bluegills, and homemade spinnerbaits around underwater humps and main lake points in depths of 20 feet or less. The surface water temperature on the main lake is in the upper 70s.

June 28, 29

I guided the same group for two days on Red Willow Lake. We caught eight Master Angler fish including four wipers (27", 2 at 26", and 24.50"), one largemouth bass (21"), one northern pike (40.50"), one flathead catfish (36"), and one channel catfish ( 30.50"). We caught additional wipers between 13 and 23.75 inches, largemouth bass between 12 and 18 inches, walleye between 14 and 26 inches, channel catfish between 12 and 26 inches, white bass up to 13 inches, four northern pike between 30 and 33 inches, and a few smallmouth bass up to 12 inches. They were caught on shiners and slow rolling  homemade spinnerbaits around main lake points and under water humps in depths of 20 feet or less. The surface water temperature on the main lake is in the upper 70s.

June 27

I guided on Red Willow Lake and we caught five Master Angler fish including three wipers (27", 26.50", and 24.75"), and two channel catfish (33.50" and 32.50"). We caught additional wipers between 13 and 23.75 inches, catfish between 12 and 26 inches, white bass up to 12 inches, crappies up to 11inches,  walleye between 14 and 15 inches, and one small northern pike. They were caught around underwater humps, main lake points, and secondary points in deep coves in depths of 20 feet or less. We used crankbaits, dropshot rigs with 3-inch Berkley Bass Minnow, and shiners. The main lake surface water temperature is in the upper 70s.

June 26

I guided on Red Willow Lake and we caught six Master Anglers (3 wipers at 28", 26" and 25"; 3 channel catfish at 33", 32", and 31"), plus additional wipers between 12 and 22 inches, walleye between 14 and 17 inches, white bass up to 12 inches, and largemouth bass up to 17inches. They were caught on shiners and leeches around main lake points and underwater humps in depths of 20 feet or less. The surface water temperature is in the upper 70s on the main lake.

June 25

I guided on Red Willow Lake and we caught three Master Angler channel catfish (33" and two at 31"), plus other catfish between 14 and 27 inches, walleye up to 17 inches, largemouth bass up to 17.50 inches, wipers between 14 and 21 inches, white bass up to 13 inches, and crappies up to 12 inches. These fish were caught around main lake points, underwater humps, and secondary points back in deep coves in depths of 20 feet or less. They were caught on shiners, waterdogs, crankbaits, and dropshot rigs with a 3-inch Berkley Bass Minnow. The surface water temperature is in the upper 70s.

June 24

I guided on Red Willow Lake and we caught two Master Angler wipers (25' and 24.25"), plus additional wipers between 13 and 20 inches, walleye between 14 and 17 inches,  white bass up to 13 inches, largemouth bass up to 18 inches, and a few small catfish on shiners and crankbaits. They were caught in depths of 20 feet or less around main lake points and underwater humps. The surface water temperature on the main lake was 72 degees in the morning, but it warmed up to about 76 degrees by late afternoon.

June 22,  23

I guided on Red Willow Lake and we caught good numbers of walleye between 14 and 24 inches, wipers between 13 and 22 inches, white bass up to 13 inches, largemouth bass up to 18 inches, and two Master Angler channel catfish (34" and 31"), plus other catfish between 12 and 29 inches. They were caught on shiners and leeches around underwater humps in depth of 20 feet or less. The surface water temperature averages 76 degrees on the main lake.

June 21

I guided on Red Willow and we caught good numbers of wipers between 14 and 21 inches, white bass up to 13 inches, largemouth bass up to 19 inches, walleye between 14 and 17 inches, and one Master Angler channel catfish (30"). They were caught around main lake points and underwater humps in depths of 20 feet or less on shiners and crankbaits. The main lake surface water temperature is approximately 74 degrees.

June 19

I guided on Red Willow Lake and we caught walleye between 14 and 17 inches, wipers up to 22 inches, white bass up to 13 inches, crappies up to 12 inches, and a few perch. The fish were caught around main lake points, underwater humps, and secondary points back in a deep cove in depth of 25 feet or less. They were caught on deep diver crankbaits, dropshot rigs with a 3-inch Berkley Bass Minnow, and large shiners. The surface water temperature is in the mid 70s.

June 18

I guided on Red Willow Lake and we caught two Master Angler fish including a 22-inch largemouth bass and a 25-inch wiper. Both were caught on a deep diving crankbait. We also caught other wipers up to 23 inches, channel catfish up to 28 inches, walleye between 14 and 17 inches, largemouth bass between 13 and 16 inches, white bass up to 12 inches, and one northern pike that measured about 28 inches. These fish were caught on crankbaits and large shiners in depths of 25 feet or less around main lake points and underwater humps. The surface water temperature is in the mid 70s.

June 16, 17

I guided the same person for two days at Red Willow Lake. We we caught six Master Angler fish including four wipers (28", 27",  26.50", and 26"), two walleye (30" and 28.50"). Three of the wipers were caught on large shiners and the other on a 1 oz. spinnerbait. The walleye were caught on a deep diving crankbait and a large shiner. We caught additional wipers up to 23 inches, walleye up to 24 inches, channel catfish up to 28 inches, crappies up to 12 inches, largemouth bass up 18 inches, and four small perch. The fish were caught on crankbaits, spinnerbaits, dropshot rigs with a 3-inch Berkley Bass Minnow, and large shiners fishing around main lake points, underwater humps, and secondary points in coves. Most of these fish were caught in depths between 12 and 25 feet. The surface water temperature was in the low 70s in the morning and by late afternoon it warmed into mid 70s.

June 13, 14

I guided the same group for two days on Red Willow Lake. We caught eight Master Angler fish including four wipers (2 at 27", 25" and 24.25"), three walleye (28.75", 28.50", and 28"), and one channel catfish (36"). We caught additional wipers between 14 and 23 inches and walleye between 14 and 24 inches. They were caught on crankbaits and large shiners in depth of 20 feet or less around main lake points and underwater humps. The surface water temperature is in the low to mid 70s.

June 12

I took my son Chris and two friends fishing at Red Willow Lake in the afternoon. We caught two Master Angler fish (27-inch wiper and 20.25-inch largemouth bass), plus additional largemouth bass between 11 and 18 inches, three walleye (27.50", 25", and 14"), and smallmouth bass up to 14 inches.The wiper was caught on a large 1 oz. spinnerbait slow rolling it along a main lake point in depth of 20 feet or less. The walleye were caught on deep diving crankbaits around an underwater hump in depth of 15 feet or less. The smallmouth bass were  caught on plastic baits along the dam area, and the largemouth bass were caught on Texas rigged plastic baits in depth of 20 feet or less around main lake points and mouths of coves casting around cover (stumps, standing timbers, and weedbeds). The surface water temperature is in the mid 70s.

June 11

I took a friend largemouth bass fishing in the late afternoon at Red Willow Lake. We caught two Master Angler bass (21" and 20"), plus additional largemouth bass between 12 and 19.50 inches. They were caught on jig 'n plastic trailer combos, Texas rigged tubebaits, and plastic jerkbaits around the mouths of coves and main lake points around cover (wedbeds, stumps, and laydown trees) in depth of 15 feet or less. During the last hour of daylight we caught four wipers including two Master Anglers (26" and 25"). The other two measured 23 inches and 22 inches. The wipers were caught on a buzzbait and 1oz. spinnerbait around main lake point in depth of 10 feet or less. The surface water temperature is in the mid 70s.

June 9, 10

I guided on Red Willow Lake and we caught good numbers of wipers between 13 and 23 inches, white bass up to 13 inches,  walleye up to 22 inches, northern pike up to 33 inches, largemouth bass up to 19 inches and a Master Angler channel catfish (32") caught on a deep diving crankbait. They fish were caught around main lake points and underwater humps in depth of 25 feet or less on large shiners and crankbaits.

June 6, 7

I guided on Red Willow Lake and we caught two Master Angler fish (a 25-inch wiper and 21-inch largemouth bass), plus additional wipers between 12 and 23 inches, largemouth bass between 12 and 18 inches, walleye up to 26 inches, northern pike up to 32 inches, white bass up to 13 inches, and crappies up to 12 inches. These fish were caught on topwater plugs, crankbaits, dropshot rigs with a 3-inch Berkley Bass Minnow, and shiners fished around main lake points, underwater islands, and secondary points in coves in depth of 25 feet or less.

June 3-5

I guided on Red Willow and we caught three Master Angler fish - 25- and 28-inch wipers and a 20.25- inch largemouth bass. We caught additional wipers between 14 and 23 inches, largemouth bass between 12 and 19 inches, white bass up to 13 inches , walleye between 14 and 25 inches, crappies up to 13 inches, and smallmouth up to 16 inches. They were caught around main lake points, underwater humps, secondary points in coves, and along the dam areas using crankbaits, plastic jerkbaits, topwater plugs, spinnerbaits, dropshot rigs with a 3-inch Berkley Bass Minnow, and shiners in depths of 25 feet or less.

June 1

I went to Lake MacConaughy to fish in an Angling Nebraska bass tournament. My parnter and I placed 6th with five smallmouth bass that weighted 8.29 pounds. We caught them on dropshot rigs and plastic baits in depths of 20 feet or less around main lake rocky points, secondary points in coves and boat docks.
