May 30
I g
uided on Lake McConaughy and caught over 50 Walleye in 5 hours (15" to 28" with most of them 21" to 23") on shiners, leeches, and worms along drop-off  around secondary points and main lake points. Water temp averaged. 55 degrees.

May 29
I guided on Swanson Lake today and caught over 20 wipers up to 24" and 14 walleye on llive shiners  around humps and main lake points in 15 feet or less. Water temp was 57 degrees.

May 25 - 28
I guided on Red Willow and caught wipers up to 28" on jerkbaits, topwater plugs and live shiners around main lake points and flats next to deep water. We also caught Walleye up to 27" and largemouth bass up to 19" on the same baits and in the same areas as the wipers. Water temp averaged 57 degrees.

May 17, 18, 21 - 24
I guided on Red Willow and caught nine Master Angler fish including five largemouth bass (23", 2 - 21", 20 3/4", and 20 1/2"), two wipers (26" and 25"), and two walleye (29" and 28"). They all were caught on jerkbaits along windy points and main lake flats next to deep water. The water temperature averaged  57 degrees on May 24. It dropped over 10 degrees since May 17 due to cold fronts. I'm covering a lot of water quickly to locate the fish. Once I catch one, I'll stop and work the area slowly and usually catch a few more fish out of the same area.

May 16
Guided on Red Willow and caught 16 walleye (16 to 28 inches) on main lake points and flats next to deep water on jerkbaits. Also caught northern pike (28 to 32 inches), largemouth bass (up to 18 inches) and small white bass in same areas on the same lures. A few wipers (up to 26 inches) were taken on topwater plugs the last hours of the day around underwater humps. The water temperature averaged in the mid 60 degree range.

May 13-15
Guided on Enders Reservoir and we caught a lot of Wiper (18 to 23 3/4 inches) and white bass (3/4 to 1 pound) on jerkbaits and topwater plugs. Also good numbers of walleye (17 to 28 inches) and northern pike (up to 36 1/2 inches) on jerkbaits and Rattle Traps. Catching a few largemouth and smallmouth bass on the lures. Most of these fish are being caught around main lake points and flats next to drop-offs. The water temperature is in the low 60 degree range.

May 12
Guided on Red Willow Reservoir and caught good numbers of largemouth bass (12 to 22 inches) and northern pike (up to 34 inches) on jerkbaits and plastic baits. They were caught in coves, main lake points, secondary points and flats next to deep water.

May 10
My clients and I fish Red Willow today and caught good numbers of  largemouth bass (12 to 23 1/2 inches) and northern pike (24 to 35 inches). Most of them were caught on same lures and patterns as yesterday. Also caught wipers 18 to 25 inches on live bait (shiners) around underwater humps in depths of 24 to 30 feet. Water temperature. is approximately 58 degrees.

May 9
Guided on Red Willow today and we caught a good number of largemouth bass (14 to 21 inches). Three bass were Master Anglers at  20, 20 3/4, and  21 inches. We caught bass on jerkbaits and plastic baits. They were caught in coves, main lake points, and flats next to deep water. Also caught lots of northern pikes (24 to 35 inches) on the same baits and in the same areas as the largemouth bass. Main lake water temp. was approximately 57 degrees.

May 8
I guided today on Red Willow and we caught a good number of largemouth bass that were 12 to 19.5 inches on jerkbaits, spinnerbaits, and plastic baits.  Most of them were caught in coves. We also caught a bunch of northern pike (26 to 34 inches) on the same baits and in the same areas as the bass.  Water temp was about 55 degrees.

May 7
I took Larry Porter and one of his friends to Enders Reservoir. We caught a lot of wipers on jerkbaits that ran from 18 to 26.5 inches.  We also limited out on walleye that were 15 to 23.5 inches on jighead-crawler combos and Lindy Rigs with a crawler.  Most of the wipers came on windy points. The walleye were caught on a sandbar with some small boulders on the end, in depths of approximately 15 feet.  Water temp was about 52 degrees.

May 6
Went to Enders Reservoir today and caught approximately 30 to 40 wipers from 18 to 24 inches.   Most of the fish were caught on jerkbaits in depths of 10 to 25 feet.   Also, we caught about 20 walleye that averaged 18 to 24 inches.  We caught most of them on jigheads with a 4-inch worm and a few on jerkbaits in depths of 5 to 20 feet.  Water temp was about 51 degrees.

May 2
Had a guiding trip today and caught 8 wipers (20 to 29 inches) on shiners in depths of 28 to 35 feet around underwater humps. Also caught largemouth bass (biggest was 21 1/2") and northern pike (up to 34") on jerkbaits in depth of 15 feet or less in bays.  Water temp. is in the low to mid 50 degree range.
