I fished at a private sand pit lake (open water) in the late afternoon for a few hours on both days and caught a Master Angler 15 1/2- inch crappie. I also caught good numbers of smaller crappies between 9 and 14 1/2 inches, largemouth bass between 10 and 15 inches, and bluegills between 7  and 9 1/2 inches. I caught these fish on a 1/32-oz. jig head with a Berkley 1″ Gulp! Alive Minnow around underwater brush piles in depth of 24 feet or less.
