My brother Tim and I fished at two different private sand pit lakes. We caught 3 Master Anglers largemouth bass between 20 and 21 inches, good numbers of smaller largemouth bass between 11 and 19 3/4 inches, and a nice 14 inch crappie. We caught these fish on 1/2 oz. football jig with twin tail plastic trailers, ProMinnow Swimbaits, 5″ Flutter Spoon, and deep diver crankbaits around deep points, edges of flats next to deep water, underwater brush piles, and edges of deep weed beds in depths of 24 feet or less.
