I guided on both days at Enders Reservoir. My clients and I caught good numbers of walleyes, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, a few crappies, and a northern pike. We caught these fish around main lake points, edges of weed beds, back in a cove, and next to the dam areas. We were using jerkbaits, swimbaits, ReelBait Flasher Jigs with Berkley Gulp! Minnow Grubs and Crawlers, crankbaits, and a 5″ flutter spoon in depths of 20 feet or less. The surface water temperture is in the 60s and the water clarity is clear.


I guided on Red Willow Reservoir today. My clients and I caught white bass, wipers, and crappies around main lake points, underwater humps, road beds, and edges of creek channel in depth 15 feet or less. We caught these fish on ReelBaits Flasher Jigs with Berkley Gulp! Minnow Grubs, Swimbaits, Lytle’s Secret Tail Spinner, and Carolina Rigs using shiners and crawlers. The surface water temperatures is in the mid 60s and water clarity is around 8 inches or less.

I guided clients on all four days at Swanson Reservoir. We caught good numbers of white bass, walleyes, wipers, largemouth bass, crappies, and a few channel catfish. Minnow Grubs and Crawlers, Carolina Rigs using shiners, leeches, and crawlers, swimbaits, jerkbaits, jigging spoons, and flutter spoons. These fish were caught around underwater humps, road beds, edges of willow trees on points, and near the dam areas in depths of 36 feet or less. The surface water temperature is in the 60s and the water clarity is clear.

I took my friends fishing at Red Willow Reservoir in the afternoon. We caught good numbers of white bass, crappies, wiper, largemouth bass, and a channel catfish. These fish were caught around main lake points, underwater islands, edges of a creek channel, road beds, and along the dam areas in dephs of 10 feet or less. The surface water temperature is in the mid 60s and the water clarity is around 8 inches or less.

The surface water temperature was in the mid 60s.
I guided a former Nebraska Game and Park Commission fish biologist at Swanson Reservoir. We caught good numbers of nice wipers, white bass, largemouth bass, and a walleye. These fish were caught near the dam areas, an underwater island, edges of willow trees, and roadbeds in depths of 32 feet or less. The surface water temperature is in the low to mid 60s and the water clarity is very clear.

My brother Tim and I fished at 4 different private sandpit lakes. We caught good numbers of largemouth bass up to 21.50 inches, and crappies up to 13 inches. We caught these fish on swimbaits, jig and plastic craws, and soft plastic jerkbaits around edges of weed beds, underwater brush piles, lay down trees, points, and edges of flats in depths of 20 feet or less.
