I fished at a private sand pit lake in the late afternoon and caught a Master Angler crappie at 16 inches. I also caught smaller crappies between 8 and 14 inches, largemouth bass between 10 and 17 inches, yellow perch up to 12 inches, and a 20-inch walleye. These fish were caught on a ¾-oz. Silver Buddy bladebait, and a 1/16-oz, Marabou Jig around deep points, edges of deep flats, and deep weed beds in depths of 28 feet or less. The water clarity in this sand pit lake is very clear with a visibility of eight feet or more.
