September 20, 22, 24, 25, 27

I fished at six different private sand pit lakes in the afternoon, and my brother Tim fished with me on September 20, 24, and 27. We caught good numbers of largemouth bass up to 19 inches, three Master Angler yellow perch at 15, 14 ¾, and 13 ½ inches, plus smaller perch between 8 and 12 inches, bluegill up to 9 inches, and a 22-inch walleye. We caught these fish on Lytle’s Secret tailspinners, football jigs with plastic craws, jig heads with a 4-inch plastic worm, flutter spoons, blade baits, swimbaits, and a jig head with nightcrawler around deep points, edges of deep flats, underwater brush piles, and weed beds in depths of 25 feet or less.
