I guided on Red Willow Reservoir and one my client caught a nice 37″ Master Angler northern pike. My clients and I also caught smaller northern pike, wipers up to 23 inches, white bass up to 14 inches, channel catfish up to 24 inches, largemouth bass up to 19 inches, a few walleyes and freshwater drums, and a nice bluegill. We caught these fish around underwater humps, road beds, edges of a creek channel, edges of flats next to deep water, and near the dam areas in depths of 18 feet or less using a Carolina Rig with shiners, 3.5 and 5 inch ProMinnow Swimbaits, and a 5″ Flutter Spoon. The surface water temperature is in the upper 70s.
