I took my two brothers fishing at Red Willow Reservoir in the afternoon. We caught a Master Angler northern pike at 36 inches, good numbers of wipers between 16 and 23 1/2 inches, channel catfish up to 28 inches, white bass up to 14 inches, and a few small walleyes. We caught these fish on a Carolina Rig with livebaits, 3.5 and 5 inch ProMinnow Swimbaits, and a 5″ Flutter Spoon around main lake points, underwater humps, road beds, edges of a creek channel, and edges of flats next to deep water in depths of 18 feet or less. The surface water temperature was in the upper 70s.
