I guided on Red Willow Reservoir and caught a Master Angler northern pike at 36 inches. My clients and I also caught good numbers of wipers up to 23 inches, white bass up to 14 inches, walleyes up to 18 inches, few largemouth bass and crappies, and a channel catfish. We caught these fish on a Carolina Rig with shiners, 5″ ProMinnow Swimbait, and a Lytle’s Secret Tail Spinner around underwater humps, road beds, edges of creek channel, and edges of flats next to deep water in depths of 20 feet or less. The surface water temperature is in the lower 70s.
