I fished at two different private sand pit lakes in the mid afternoon for a few hours. I caught largemouth bass between 12 and 18 ½ inches, and a Master Angler channel catfish at 30 ¼ inches. These fish were caught around the drop off next to points, edges of deep flats, and weed beds in depths of 20 feet or less on a 5-inch flutter spoon, 5-inch ProMinnow Swimbait, football jig with Strike King Rage craw, and a Spro Bronzeye Frog.
