My brother and I fished at three different private sand pit lakes and caught good numbers of largemouth between 12 and 19 inches around points, underwater brush piles, lay down trees, and edges of weed beds in depths of 20 feet or less. We caught these bass on jigs with plastic craw trailers and pork frogs, 5-inch flutter spoons, ProMinnow swimbaits, and Lytle’s Secret tailspinners.
