I fished at two different private sand pit lakes in the mid afternoon for a few hours. I caught a Master Angler largemouth bass at 20 ½ inches, good numbers of smaller largemouth between 13 and 19 ½ inches, and a 22-inch walleye. These fish were caught on a 5-inch flutter spoon, football jig with plastic craw, a ProMinnow swimbait, and a Spro Bronzeye Frog around points, edges of weed beds, and underwater brush piles in depths of 25 feet or less.
