I took my two brothers and a friend ice fishing at Red Willow Reservoir. We caught good numbers of channel catfish up to 8 lbs., crappies up to 1 lb., white bass between 11 and 14 inches, largemouth bass up to 14 inches, bluegills up to 8 inches, a 14″ walleye, and a nice yellow perch. We caught these fish on Lytle’s Secret Tailspinners and small jigging spoons along the edges of a creek channel, main lake points, and brush piles in the mouth of a cove in depths between 8 and 24 feet. The ice thickness is averaging between 7 and 9 inches.
