November 12 & 20, 2009

I took a friend fishing at Swanson Reservoir on both days. We caught two Master Angler fish including a 25 ” wiper and a 12.5 lbs. channel catfish. We also caught good numbers of white bass up to 15 inches, wipers between 16 and 20 inches, two walleyes at 26.5″ and 16″, channel catfish up to 24 inches, and a few freshwater drum. We caught these fish on 4- and 5-inch flutter spoons, 3/4-oz. Silver Buddy Bladebaits, and 1-oz. jigging spoons along a roadbed, and a ridge next to a river channel near the dam areas in depth of 34 feet or less.
