I guided on Red Willow Reservoir and my clients and I caught good numbers of white bass up to 14 inches, wipers up to 20 inches, two largemouth bass, two flathead catfish, a walleye, and a nice bluegill. We caught these fish on a Carolina Rig using gizzard shad and shiners, crankbaits, ProMinnow Swimbaits, Reelbait Flasher Jig with Berkley Gulp! Minnow Grub, and a 1 oz. Lytle’s Secret Tail Spinner around edges of flats, islands, roadbeds, and next to the dam areas in depths of 10 feet or less. The surface water temperature is in the lower to mid 70s and the water clarity is about 6 inches or less with a severe algae blooms.
