I guided on Red Willow Reservoir today. My client and I caught good numbers of white bass up to 14 inches, wipers up to 22 inches, a 19 inch largemouth bass, and a few small channel and a flathead catfish. We caught these fish around main lake points, underwater humps, islands, underwater road beds, edges of creek channels, flats next to deep water, and near the dam areas. We were using a Carolina Rig with gizzard shad, 1 oz. Lytle’s Secret Tail Spinner, Prominnow Swimbaits, deep diver crankbait, bladebait, and a ReelBait Flasher Jig with Berkley Gulp! 3″ Minnow Grub. The surface water temperature was in the upper 70s.
