I guided on Red Willow Reservoir all four days. My clients and I are catching trophy wipers, northern pikes, walleyes, largemouth bass, and a flathead catfish. We are also catching good numbers of smaller wipers, white bass, walleyes, northern pikes, largemouth bass, crappies, channel catfish, and a few freshwater drums and bluegills around main lake points, underwater humps, islands, edges of creek channels, flats next to deep water, and near the dam areas in depths of 20 feet or less. These fish were caught on a Carolina Rig with shiners and gizzard shad, Lytle’s Secret Tail Spinners, 3 and 5″ ProMinnow Swimbaits, 5″ Flutter Spoon, deep diving crankbaits, and a Silver Buddy Bladebait. The surface water temperature is averaging in the upper 70s on the main lake.
